Infra-rational intuition

– Characteristics:

– Automatic, pre-reflective, often linked to instincts, emotions, or physiological reactions.

– Does not rely on explicit experience or conscious knowledge, but on innate mechanisms or immediate perceptions.

– Example:

A premonition of danger in a situation without obvious clues, or an instinctive attraction to a person.

– Context:

May be linked to psychology (automatic processes, cognitive biases) or philosophy (e.g.: Bergson, where intuition captures a reality beyond rational analysis).

– Level:

Below rationality, pre-conscious or unconscious.
